For the first 15 years of my career I worked primarily in positions as a Clinical Psychologist at agencies such as the Hawaii State Hospital and subsequently at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu. In 1984 I went into private clinical practice and specialized in treatment of chronic pain conditions, individual and couples counseling, and psychological evaluations of individuals referred by the Child Protective Services and the state Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. I have extensive training in Jungian analytical psychology. From 1988 to 1990 I completed a post graduate program in clinical depth psychology at the Forest Institute in Honolulu. This is also when I began my own personal Jungian analysis, a process which would continue for the next 7 years. After this, I continued my professional study of analytic psychology by undertaking a two year sabbatical as a formal training/diploma candidate at the C G Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. Upon my return to Washington state I continued my studies with the North Pacific Institute of Analytical Psychology. In 1992 I relocated my private practice to Poulsbo, Washington and then to Bainbridge Island in 2006. I have continued with my specialization in depth psychology, counseling both individuals and couples.
